Measuring Your Patch

Getting the size right means you get an accurate quote the first time. At Eagle Patches Canada, we price custom patches using the industry-standard average size: measure the height and width of your design (edge to edge), then use the formula below. This works for embroidered patches Canada orders as well as woven, PVC, chenille, leather, sublimated, and custom iron on patches.

Quick tips

  • Measure the tallest and widest points (for circles use diameter).

  • Include borders in your measurement (merrowed or laser-cut).

  • For odd shapes, imagine a box around the design and measure that box.

  • We quote to the next 0.5″ to keep pricing clear.

Calculate Your Patch Size

Use this simple formula to find the size used for pricing with our Canadian patch maker team.

Average Size = (Height + Width) ÷ 2

Example: A patch that’s 2″ high and 4″ wide → (2 + 4) ÷ 2 = 3″
That will be quoted as a 3″ patch.
